Review 2009

The last 6 months has had it's ups and downs. I have managed to lose 26 pounds and found a form of exercise I truly enjoy. Although the holiday season has been full of rich foods, I am determined to lose 10 more pounds. My goal is to be 187 lbs.

I met a great cycling group called Mckinney Velo. They are competitive cycling group and even though I am not at their level, they have been very supportive. Also, I want to thank my manager at work, Amit. He has encouraged me, given me some great advice, and most of all he has listened to all of my weekend cycling treks through the beautiful countryside of north Texas. Thanks, Gus!!

I know my limitations and realized that is going to take years of riding to condition myself. The long rides have definitely have challenged me. Everything starts hurting a little after 40 miles. Again, I know this will improve over time and I must stay healthy.

My goal for 2010 is to be down to 187 lbs. I am going to enter more cycling events and may even do the "Hotter than Hell" this year.

One final note, I want to thank the man who in 1980 was the last place finisher of the Boston marathon, who took me ice climbing at the age of 15 and left me with a guide, two middle aged men and, some "Bungee" bread for lunch while he went to a different ice climbing school, and the man who listened and encouraged me to follow my dreams. Because you never get in between a man and his dream. Je t'aime mon pere.
